Focus is designed with a privacy-conscious, local-first approach. Your focus sessions, selected restrictions, preferences, and activity insights are stored on your device by default. We do not operate servers that collect or host your Screen Time selections, app usage history, intention notes, focus session history, or TrueDepth face-tracking data as part of normal app use. We use privacy-minimized product analytics through AppMetrica to understand app launches, screen flow, trial/subscription state, and where users leave the App. We advertise Focus on Meta platforms (such as Facebook and Instagram) and, only if you allow tracking, use the Meta SDK to measure which ads lead to installs, trials, and subscriptions. Focus does not show ads inside the App.

This Privacy Policy explains how Focus ("Focus," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you use the Focus iOS application (the "App"), listed on the App Store as "Limit Screen Time: Focus" (App Store ID 6760837038; the name may vary by country or region), or visit our website, www.lockfocus.app (the "Website").

Data Controller

Focus is operated by Dilshodi Kahori. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at kahoridilshod@gmail.com. We handle privacy requests in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

1. Introduction

This Policy applies to the App and the Website worldwide, including where laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) apply.

Our Privacy Principles

  • Focus data is stored locally on your device by default.
  • We minimize personal data collection wherever possible.
  • We do not operate servers that host your Screen Time selections or focus session history.
  • We use privacy-minimized analytics events to improve the App and understand onboarding, trial, paywall, and feature usage.
  • We use the Meta SDK to measure and improve our own advertising campaigns only if you allow tracking in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you don't, Focus sends nothing to Meta.
  • Focus does not show third-party ads inside the App.
  • TrueDepth face-tracking data is processed locally on your device only for the guided reset exercise and is not stored or transmitted by Focus.
  • Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings features are handled through Apple system frameworks.
  • We use trusted platform providers, such as Apple, only where needed to provide features you request.
  • We aim to provide clear, specific, and up-to-date privacy disclosures.

2. Information We Collect

A. Data categories, including Apple Privacy Label categories

1. Purchases

Examples: Subscription product IDs, transaction verification results, and entitlement status.

Purpose: Enable premium features, restore purchases, and verify subscription access.

Shared with: Apple App Store / StoreKit. If you allow tracking, subscription and free-trial events (product ID, price, currency, trial period, and transaction date) are also sent to Meta through the Meta SDK to measure our advertising campaigns. Apple also shares subscription transaction information with RevenueCat, which we use for subscription revenue reporting (see section 6).

2. User Content

Examples: Intention notes, session labels, focus preferences, selected focus presets, session configuration, and other information you enter in the App.

Purpose: Provide focus sessions, personalize your experience, and display your local session history and insights.

Shared with: Not sent to our developer-operated servers as part of normal app use.

3. Usage Data

Examples: Focus session duration buckets, selection count buckets, screen and journey stage events, event sequence number, trial/subscription state, the plan you choose (monthly or yearly), purchase or restore result, session completion status, interruption/reflection event flags, app version, build number, and distribution channel.

Purpose: Provide focus insights, session history, App functionality, product analytics, feature improvement, funnel analysis, and subscription/trial measurement.

Shared with: Limited analytics events are sent to AppMetrica. If you allow tracking, app install, app open, and session length events are sent to Meta through the Meta SDK for advertising measurement. We do not send selected app names, website/domain names, Screen Time history, intention notes, reflection text, raw session IDs, or user-entered content through analytics or to Meta.

4. Device Information

Examples: Device and app metadata processed by Apple systems, where required for App Store, StoreKit, Screen Time, TrueDepth camera permission, or operating system functionality.

Purpose: Platform compatibility, subscription management, security, permission handling, and operation of Apple system features.

Shared with: Apple, where applicable. Limited app metadata such as app version, build number, and distribution channel may be included in analytics events sent to AppMetrica. If you allow tracking, the Meta SDK collects device information such as device model, operating system version, language, time zone, and IP address together with the events it sends to Meta. Firebase Cloud Messaging receives the device and app information needed to deliver push notifications.

5. Identifiers

Examples: A random anonymous analytics install ID generated by the App, AppMetrica device/app analytics identifiers, and event sequence numbers.

Purpose: Product analytics, one-install event timeline analysis, fraud/abuse prevention where applicable, measuring active trial and subscription flows, and understanding where users leave the App.

Shared with: AppMetrica. The App-generated analytics install ID resets when you delete and reinstall the App. It is not your email address, Apple ID, advertising ID, selected app list, website list, Screen Time history, or a raw focus session ID.

Additional identifiers:

  • Meta SDK identifiers: If you allow tracking, the Meta SDK generates an anonymous app-installation identifier and sends it to Meta with advertising measurement events.
  • Advertising identifier (IDFA): Shared with Meta only if you tap "Allow" in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not available to Focus or Meta.
  • Firebase identifiers: Firebase may create an installation identifier when the App starts. A Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token is used only to deliver push notifications.

6. Advertising Data

Collected only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Examples: Which Meta ad, if any, led to your install; app install, app open, and session length events; subscription and free-trial events; and your advertising identifier (IDFA).

Purpose: Measuring the effectiveness of our advertising for Focus on Meta platforms, attributing installs, trials, and subscriptions to ad campaigns, and helping Meta deliver our ads to people more likely to find Focus useful.

Shared with: Meta Platforms, Inc. and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, through the Meta SDK. Focus does not show third-party ads inside the App.

B. Screen Time and permission-related data

Depending on the features you use, Focus may process:

  • Apps, websites, or categories you select for restriction.
  • Focus session schedules, timers, and duration settings.
  • Device Activity and Managed Settings data required to apply temporary shields or restrictions.
  • Local session history and focus insights.
  • User-provided intention notes, preferences, and reflections.

Apple's Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks are designed to protect sensitive app and usage information. Focus uses these frameworks only after you grant the required authorization.

C. TrueDepth and face data

Focus includes an optional guided reset exercise called "Eye and Head Reset." If you choose this exercise, Focus uses Apple's TrueDepth camera and ARKit face tracking to process temporary face-tracking values on your device.

Information processed during the exercise may include:

  • Eye blink values, such as whether the left or right eye appears open or closed.
  • Eye gaze direction values, such as looking up, down, left, or right.
  • Head pose or orientation values used to detect guided head movement.
  • A temporary neutral head pose used only as an in-memory reference during the current exercise.

Focus does not collect, store, transmit, or share:

  • Photos or videos of your face.
  • Camera captures or screenshots.
  • Depth maps.
  • Face meshes.
  • Facial images.
  • Biometric identifiers.
  • Face data used to identify, recognize, authenticate, or track you.

D. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store on our own servers:

  • Your full Screen Time history.
  • Your selected blocked apps, websites, or categories.
  • Exact selected app, category, website, or domain identifiers in analytics.
  • Your local focus session history.
  • Your intention notes or reflections.
  • User-entered content.
  • Raw focus session IDs.
  • TrueDepth face-tracking values.
  • Face, camera, reset, blink, gaze, or head-pose values in analytics.
  • Photos, videos, depth maps, face meshes, facial images, or biometric identifiers.
  • Payment card numbers or card security codes.
  • Precise geolocation.
  • Contacts.
  • Photos, camera captures, scanned documents, or files.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide core app functions, including focus sessions, app/site/category restrictions, timers, and session configuration.
  • Request and manage Apple Screen Time-related permissions.
  • Apply temporary shields or restrictions using Apple system frameworks.
  • Provide local focus history and insights.
  • Verify guided reset exercise completion using on-device TrueDepth face tracking when you choose the Eye and Head Reset exercise.
  • Verify and manage subscription entitlements through Apple StoreKit.
  • Understand product usage, onboarding drop-off, trial activity, paywall performance, subscription access state, and App reliability through privacy-minimized analytics.
  • Measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising for Focus on Meta platforms.
  • Deliver push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging, if you enable notifications.
  • Maintain App reliability, security, and functionality.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

TrueDepth use limitation

TrueDepth face-tracking values are used only to verify that you completed the guided Eye and Head Reset exercise before ending a locked focus session. Focus does not use TrueDepth or face data for identification, facial recognition, authentication, advertising, analytics, profiling, tracking, sale, or cross-context behavioral advertising.

Legal bases under GDPR, where applicable

  • Contract necessity: To provide features you request.
  • Consent: For permissions, such as Screen Time authorization, camera access for the TrueDepth reset exercise, or notifications where applicable, for the Meta SDK and sharing your advertising identifier with Meta, when you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and for Google Analytics cookies on the Website, when you accept them in the cookie banner.
  • Legitimate interests: Security, reliability, debugging, product analytics, App improvement, subscription/trial measurement, and abuse prevention.
  • Legal obligation: Compliance with tax, accounting, regulatory, or legal requirements.

4. Permissions We Request

Focus requests only permissions tied to specific App functionality. Permissions are optional unless required for a feature, and they can be managed or revoked in iOS Settings.

1. Screen Time / Family Controls Authorization

Why: To allow Focus to help you select and temporarily restrict apps, websites, or categories during focus sessions.

Control: You can manage or revoke permissions through iOS Settings, Screen Time settings, or system permission controls.

2. Device Activity and Managed Settings

Why: To schedule focus sessions, monitor configured limits where applicable, and apply temporary shields or restrictions to selected apps, websites, or categories.

Control: These features depend on Apple system permissions and platform availability.

3. Camera / TrueDepth Camera

Why: To allow Focus to use Apple's TrueDepth camera and ARKit face tracking for the optional Eye and Head Reset exercise.

Consent: Focus requests camera permission through the iOS system permission prompt before using the camera. The App does not start TrueDepth face tracking unless camera access is granted and you open the exercise verification screen.

Control: You can deny camera permission, revoke it later in iOS Settings, or choose a non-camera reset exercise where available. If camera permission is denied or TrueDepth face tracking is unavailable, the Eye and Head Reset verification cannot be completed through TrueDepth.

4. Notifications, if enabled

Why: To send focus session reminders, session completion alerts, or other App-related notices.

Control: You can disable notifications in iOS Settings at any time.

5. App Tracking Transparency

Why: During onboarding, before the subscription screen, Focus explains what tracking is used for and then iOS asks whether Focus may use the Meta SDK and share your advertising identifier (IDFA) with Meta to measure which of our ads led you to Focus.

Consent: Focus starts the Meta SDK only if you tap "Allow". Until then, and if you choose "Ask App Not to Track", Focus sends nothing to Meta and does not access your advertising identifier. If you tap "Allow", the Meta SDK starts right away, so a free trial or subscription you then start is measured. Your answer does not change how the App works.

Control: You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you turn tracking off, Focus stops sending data to Meta the next time the App starts.

5. Local-First Focus Data Handling

1. Stored locally by default

Focus session data, settings, selected restrictions, preferences, intention notes, and insights are stored on your device by default.

2. No developer hosting of focus data

We do not upload or store your Screen Time selections, session history, intention notes, or focus insights on developer-operated servers as part of normal App use.

In the current version of Focus:

  • We do not operate a backend server that collects Focus app data.
  • We do not include custom backend upload code for Focus app data.
  • The App contains no code that uploads your focus sessions, selected restrictions, intention notes, local insights, or TrueDepth face-tracking values to our servers.
  • We use AppMetrica for privacy-minimized analytics events. These events do not include selected app names, website/domain names, Screen Time history, intention notes, reflection text, raw session IDs, user-entered content, or TrueDepth/face/camera/reset values.

3. TrueDepth processing stays on device

TrueDepth face-tracking values used for the Eye and Head Reset exercise are processed locally on your device in memory only while the exercise verification screen is active. Focus does not save these values to persistent storage, upload them to our servers, or share them with third parties.

The ARKit session is paused when the exercise is complete, the exercise screen is dismissed, or the view is no longer active.

4. When data may leave your device

Data may leave your device only when:

  • You contact support and choose to share information with us.
  • Apple processes subscription, App Store, StoreKit, Screen Time framework, camera permission, ARKit/TrueDepth, notification, or operating system data as part of its platform services.
  • AppMetrica processes privacy-minimized analytics events for app usage, journey stage, trial/subscription state, the plan you choose, purchase/restore result, app version/build, distribution channel, anonymous install ID, and event sequence, and receives your IP address with them.
  • If you allow tracking, the Meta SDK sends app install, app open, session length, and subscription/trial events, device information, and your advertising identifier to Meta for advertising measurement.
  • Firebase receives an installation identifier when the App starts, and Firebase Cloud Messaging processes your push token to deliver notifications, if you enable them.
  • You use iCloud, device backup, or other Apple services that may back up or sync App data according to your Apple settings.
  • You share screenshots or other information using iOS sharing tools or third-party services.

5. On-device processing

Focus session configuration, restriction setup, local insights, and TrueDepth reset verification are processed on-device whenever possible. We do not use developer-operated servers to analyze your focus behavior or TrueDepth face-tracking values.

6. Third-Party Services

We use platform and infrastructure providers. Their policies also apply to their processing.

1. Apple App Store / StoreKit

Use: In-app subscriptions and purchase restoration.

Data: Apple processes payment, billing, and transaction data.

We receive: Subscription and entitlement status and transaction verification results, not full payment card details.

2. Apple Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings

Use: Permission requests, app/site/category selection, scheduling, activity monitoring, and temporary restrictions or shields.

Data: Apple system frameworks process information necessary to provide Screen Time-related functionality.

Developer access: Apple keeps your Screen Time activity inside its own frameworks. Focus can show it to you on your device, but cannot read it or send it anywhere.

3. Apple ARKit / TrueDepth Camera

Use: Optional guided Eye and Head Reset exercise verification.

Data: Apple system frameworks process camera and face-tracking information necessary to provide ARKit face tracking on supported devices.

Developer access: Focus receives temporary face-tracking values needed to determine whether the exercise cues were completed. Focus does not receive or store photos, videos, depth maps, face meshes, facial images, or biometric identifiers, and does not send TrueDepth face-tracking values to developer-operated servers.

4. Apple iCloud / Device Backup, where applicable

Use: Apple may back up or sync App data depending on your device, iCloud, and backup settings.

Data: App data and metadata may be included in Apple-managed backups or sync services.

Provider processing: Apple manages iCloud and backup infrastructure under its own privacy terms.

5. Apple Push Notification service (APNs), if notifications are enabled

Use: Push notification delivery.

Data: Push token and notification routing metadata.

Provider processing: Apple may process this information to deliver notifications.

6. AppMetrica analytics

Use: Product analytics, funnel analysis, one-install event timelines, trial/subscription measurement, App version/build analysis, and understanding where users leave the App.

Provider: AppMetrica, a service provided by Yandex. Focus is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or controlled by Yandex.

Data: Event names, screen/journey stage, event sequence, anonymous analytics install ID, app version, build number, distribution channel, privacy-safe duration and selection count buckets, trial/subscription state, the plan you choose (product ID and billing period), purchase/restore result, and similar analytics metadata. AppMetrica also receives your IP address with each request and may work out an approximate location, such as your country or city, from it.

Data not sent through AppMetrica: selected app names, website/domain names, Screen Time history, intention notes, reflection text, TrueDepth values, face/camera/reset/blink/gaze/head-pose values, raw focus session IDs, user-entered content, purchase prices or transaction details, your advertising identifier, or your precise location.

Provider processing: AppMetrica and Yandex may process analytics data under their own terms and privacy documentation. We configure and use AppMetrica for product analytics, not for third-party advertising or cross-app behavioral advertising. We do not control how Yandex independently operates its services beyond the settings and integrations we choose for Focus.

7. Meta SDK (Facebook SDK for iOS)

Use: Measuring and improving the effectiveness of our advertising for Focus on Meta platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram.

Provider: Meta Platforms, Inc. and, for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.

When: Only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Until then, and if you decline, the Meta SDK does not run and Focus sends nothing to Meta.

Data: App install, app open, and session length events; subscription and free-trial events (product ID, price, currency, trial period, and transaction date); device information such as device model, operating system version, language, time zone, and IP address; an anonymous app-installation identifier generated by the Meta SDK; and your advertising identifier (IDFA).

Data not sent to Meta: selected app names, website/domain names, Screen Time history, intention notes, reflection text, onboarding answers, TrueDepth values, face/camera/reset/blink/gaze/head-pose values, raw focus session IDs, or user-entered content.

Without tracking permission: Focus sends nothing to Meta. Apple's SKAdNetwork may still tell Meta, in aggregate and without identifying you, that an install came from one of our ads.

Provider processing: Meta processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. If you allow tracking and use Meta's services, Meta may link this data to your Meta account. You can review and manage this in your Meta account settings under "Your activity off Meta technologies".

8. Firebase Cloud Messaging

Use: Delivering push notifications, if you enable notifications.

Provider: Google LLC.

Data: A Firebase installation identifier, which may be created when the App starts; a Firebase registration token; and the app and device information needed to route notifications.

Provider processing: Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy documentation.

9. RevenueCat

Use: Subscription revenue reporting, such as trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.

Provider: RevenueCat, Inc.

Data: Subscription transaction information from Apple. Apple sends RevenueCat a notification when a subscription event happens, and RevenueCat looks up the details using access we granted it in App Store Connect. This includes the product, price, currency, purchase, renewal, and expiration dates, storefront country, and Apple's transaction identifiers. The App does not include the RevenueCat SDK, so RevenueCat receives nothing directly from your device, and it does not receive your name, email address, or Apple ID.

Provider processing: RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy.

10. Website hosting and analytics

Vercel hosts the Website, and Google Analytics measures how visitors use it. See section 16.

7. Advertising

Focus does not show third-party ads inside the App.

We advertise Focus on Meta platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram. If you allow tracking, we use the Meta SDK to measure and improve how those ads perform:

  • Install, app open, session length, and subscription/trial events are sent to Meta so we can see which ads lead to installs, trials, and subscriptions, and so Meta can show our ads to people more likely to find Focus useful.
  • Your advertising identifier (IDFA) is sent with these events.
  • Focus asks for tracking permission during onboarding, before the subscription screen. Until you allow it, and if you decline, the Meta SDK does not run and Focus sends nothing to Meta. Apple's SKAdNetwork may still tell Meta, in aggregate and without identifying you, that an install came from one of our ads.
  • You can change your tracking choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

TrueDepth face-tracking values, Screen Time data, selected apps and websites, and anything you write in the App are never used for advertising.

Future marketing, personalization, and additional improvement uses

In a future version, Focus may introduce additional data collection or processing to support marketing, product personalization, feature recommendations, or similar purposes. If we decide to introduce these practices, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures before or when the changes take effect. Where required by law or Apple policy, we will request your consent before collecting or using information for these new purposes.

Any future data collection for marketing, personalization, or recommendations will be limited to the purposes described in the updated policy. TrueDepth face-tracking values, facial images, biometric identifiers, and face data used to identify you will not be used for marketing, advertising, analytics, profiling, or cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. No Sale of Personal Information

Focus does not sell personal information. We do not trade, broker, or sell your personal information to third parties.

If you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt, sending your advertising identifier and app events to Meta to measure our advertising may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some laws, such as the CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out of this sharing at any time by turning off tracking for Focus in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

TrueDepth face-tracking values are not sold, shared, rented, traded, disclosed for advertising, or used for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are handled through Apple's in-app purchase system.

  1. Apple manages billing and payment information.
  2. We do not receive your full payment card details.
  3. We receive transaction outcomes and entitlement status required to unlock premium features.
  4. Subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are governed by Apple's billing policies and your Apple account settings.

10. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described above.

1. Local focus data

Focus settings, preferences, selected restrictions, intention notes, and session history are stored locally until you delete them, delete the App, reset your device, or clear related data through available App or system controls.

2. TrueDepth face-tracking values

TrueDepth face-tracking values are processed in memory only during the active Eye and Head Reset verification flow. Focus does not persist these values. They are discarded when the exercise ends, the screen is dismissed, the ARKit session is paused, or the App no longer needs them for the current verification.

3. Analytics data

AppMetrica analytics events are retained by AppMetrica/Yandex according to their service settings and policies. The App-generated anonymous analytics install ID and event sequence are stored locally and reset when you delete and reinstall the App.

4. Advertising measurement data

Data sent to Meta through the Meta SDK is retained by Meta according to its own policies. Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens are retained by Google according to its own policies and are replaced when you reinstall the App.

5. Website analytics data

Google Analytics keeps Website data for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. Vercel keeps server logs according to its own policies.

6. Support communications

If you contact support outside the App, such as by email, we retain communications as needed to respond, resolve issues, and satisfy legal obligations.

7. Subscription records

Entitlement state is processed as needed to provide premium access. Transaction handling and primary billing records are maintained by Apple. RevenueCat keeps subscription transaction records according to its own policies and our account settings.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:

  • iOS platform security controls, app sandboxing, and secure Apple APIs.
  • Least-privilege access to permissions.
  • Apple Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks for sensitive app restriction functionality.
  • Apple ARKit and TrueDepth system permission controls for optional camera-based reset verification.
  • Local, in-memory processing for TrueDepth face-tracking values.
  • Encrypted communication where applicable.
  • Operational safeguards to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we implement measures appropriate to the risks.

12. User Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding personal information.

A. GDPR, EEA/UK where applicable

You may have rights to:

  • Access personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

B. CCPA/CPRA, California

You may have rights to:

  • Know/access categories and specific personal information.
  • Request deletion.
  • Request correction.
  • Limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Current statement: We do not sell personal information. If you allow tracking, we share your advertising identifier and app events with Meta to measure our advertising, which may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

C. PIPEDA, Canada

You may request:

  • Access to personal information.
  • Correction of inaccuracies.
  • Information about how your data is used and disclosed.
  • Withdrawal of consent, subject to legal or contractual limits.

D. TrueDepth and face data rights

Focus does not persist TrueDepth face-tracking values, so we cannot access, export, correct, or delete those temporary values after an exercise session ends. You can prevent future TrueDepth processing by denying or revoking camera permission in iOS Settings or by choosing a non-camera reset exercise where available.

E. How to submit a privacy request

Submit requests by email to kahoridilshod@gmail.com, with the subject line: "Privacy Request". We respond within 30 days.

Please note that much of your Focus data is stored locally on your device. We may not be able to access, export, or delete local data on your behalf. You can delete local App data by using available App controls, deleting the App, or managing device backups and iCloud settings through Apple system settings.

13. International Transfers

Our service providers, including Apple, Yandex (AppMetrica), Meta, Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging and Google Analytics), RevenueCat, and Vercel, may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States and the countries where Yandex operates AppMetrica's data centers.

Where required, service providers apply transfer safeguards under their legal frameworks, such as contractual safeguards and comparable protection mechanisms.

Focus does not transfer TrueDepth face-tracking values to developer-operated servers, AppMetrica, Meta, or other third-party services.

14. Children’s Privacy

Focus is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use Focus only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at kahoridilshod@gmail.com, and we will take appropriate steps.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or product changes.

When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" and, where required, provide additional notice.

If we later decide to collect or use additional information for marketing, app improvement, analytics, personalization, recommendations, or similar purposes, we will describe the categories of data, purposes, storage, sharing, retention, and user choices in an updated version of this Privacy Policy and in our App Store privacy disclosures where applicable.

16. Our Website

This section covers the Website, www.lockfocus.app. The Website does not ask for your name, email address, or account details, and it does not use advertising cookies or the Meta Pixel.

1. Hosting

The Website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel receives your IP address, browser details, and the pages you request, and keeps them in server logs for security and reliability.

2. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Website. It runs only if you tap "Accept" in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you tap "Decline", Google Analytics does not load and sets no cookies.

Once you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (such as _ga) and collects the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, your approximate location, and how you interact with pages. Google uses your IP address to work out your approximate location.

We also record two events of our own: when a visitor arrives from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, or Gemini, which assistant it was; and when that visitor taps a link to the App Store.

3. App Store links

When you arrive from an AI assistant, App Store links on that page carry a campaign tag naming it, so App Store Connect can report which sources lead to downloads. Apple receives the tag, not who you are. If you accepted analytics cookies, the Website also remembers the assistant for the rest of your visit, in your browser's session storage, so App Store links on other pages are tagged too.

4. Your choices

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, the Website stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies. Your choice itself is saved in your browser's local storage.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The Website works fully without analytics cookies.

17. Contact Information

For privacy questions or rights requests, email kahoridilshod@gmail.com and include:

  • Your request type, such as access, deletion, correction, or consent withdrawal.
  • Your country/state of residence.
  • The email address associated with your Apple account communication, if relevant.
  • A description of the Focus-related data or issue involved.

This helps us process your request efficiently and in compliance with applicable law.
